Tentmakers Mission Project
The Tentmakers Mission Project was born as a bold response to the challenges of Christian mission in the 21st century. Our initial focus is Canada, but with a global vision, especially among Portuguese-speaking peoples. Inspired by the example of the apostle Paul, who worked with his own hands to support his ministry, we believe that every Christian with a profession can (and should) live out their true spiritual calling: to be light in the world, serving as priests of Christ in the workplace and in society.
"But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for His own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light." (1 Peter 2:9)
Awakening The Sleeping Calling
“How then will they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in Him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching?” (Romans 10:14)
We want to awaken Christian professionals so that they may rediscover their true missionary calling, serving as Christ’s ambassadors wherever God places them. Our purpose is to mobilize men and women who serve with love, carry out their profession with integrity and proclaim the gospel intentionally, opening doors for discipleship and church planting.
For this movement to gain strength, we seek the spiritual and logistical support of churches and institutions committed to God's mission. At this time, we are partnering with the Doulos Institute, led by Rev. Arivaldo José, based in Aracaju (SE), an interdenominational organization dedicated to national and international missions.
